[...] The piece "Cavalli selvaggi" (Wild Horses) comes from Roberto Legnani's pen. It is gorgeous, vivid program music, the melody of which seems to release the horses into freedom. Another composition by Legnani, the “Bamidbar” cycle, translates the Israelites' exodus from Egypt into powerful, oriental-toned music. Legnani's composition “Le Chat de Paris” became a small, exuberant climax. In its somewhat strange drama and with its visibly gleefully drawn cello tones, accompanied by dry guitar rhythms, it could easily be used as a soundtrack for a crime comedy. And there was another high point of informal musical ability: The duo played a Chinese love song with enchanting Far Eastern intonation and a complicated, fascinating interplay of both instruments.
